Parish network

ParochiaSister communities under the same star
A parish is the local form of the Church: the people of one place, reading, praying and caring for one another. The parish network is the list of communities that have joined themselves to Stella di Betlemme: sister sites run by the same church in other languages, small groups that meet in homes or online, and independent Christian communities that share our rule: explain, do not claim; keep Scripture at the centre; honour every church and faith of Abraham in its own terms.

Write with a name for your community, where it meets, who leads it and how many read together.

Approved communities are listed here, may use the Stella di Betlemme name with their own, and share articles and prayers.

What a member community receives: a listing here; the articles, prayers and pictures for its own use; a shared prayer wall; help setting up its own site on the same tools; and the company of others doing the same work in other tongues. What it gives: its own reading and prayer, its news to the network, and honesty about what it is and is not.
What the network is not: a denomination. No community answers to another; no one ordains, licenses or disciplines anyone else. The bond is a shared rule and a shared star. A community may leave at any time and keep everything it has made.
Can a church of a denomination join?

It may be listed as a friend of the network if it shares the rule of explanation and charity, but member communities are independent by definition.

Can a Jewish or Muslim group join?

The network is Christian. A synagogue or a mosque that wishes to be in conversation with us is welcome as a friend, and we will list the friendship gladly.

Is there a fee?

None.

Which languages?

English now; Japanese and Italian sister sites exist; French, Spanish and Portuguese are in preparation.
