Community

CommunitasRead together, pray together, ask together
The first Christians devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers (Acts 2:42). Two of those four can be done here: the teaching and the prayers. The community of Stella di Betlemme is people who read the same verse in the morning, pray for the same intentions, ask their questions in the open and answer one another with patience. No one is asked what church they belong to at the door. Many belong to none.

TestimoniesTESTIMONY

Add testimonies in Church Admin › Clergy & Groups.

What is a testimony?

A short account of what God has done in a life: a verse that changed a week, a prayer answered, a return after years away. Written plainly, without names of others, and read by the church before it is published.

Are there rules?

Charity, honesty, patience. No contempt for any church or faith. No selling. No preaching at people who did not ask. Moderation is quiet and firm.

Can non-Christians take part?

Yes. Jews, Muslims, seekers and doubters are welcome to read, ask and answer. This is a Christian church and says so; it does not require anyone to agree before speaking.

Is there a meeting in person?

Not yet. The parish network page lists sister communities; some meet locally.

How do I join the team?

Through the vocation page. Writers, translators, musicians, artists and people who simply pray are all needed.

Come as you are

Bring your question, your intention, your doubt. Leave with a verse.

Store and giving

The store is not the centre of this place. It exists so that good books, pictures and study materials are within reach of those who read and pray here.
